Man who strangled paralysed mum has criminal record


IPOH: The man who strangled and slashed his 74-year-old paralysed mother in Kampung Baru Air Kuning, Tapah on Tuesday night has three prior criminal charges, two of which are related to drugs.

Perak deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Hasnan Hassan said the 55-year-old farmer, who is believed to have been high on morphine when the incident occurred, was arrested for drug possession and drug addiction in Selangor a month ago.
