PUTRAJAYA: A Court of Appeal has ruled that a former village head of the Temuan tribe and his two sons have no locus standi (legal standing) to sue the Selangor government and four others for declarations to reclaim aboriginal land.
Following the decision of a three-man panel, the civil suit filed by Malam anak Gerchang, 72, and sons Dewi, 56, and Jafrin, 45, which sought to declare 17,900 acres of land to be aborigine reserve settlement, was dismissed.
