Bersih decries voter campaign offering cash prize incentives

PETALING JAYA: Bersih 2.0 has decried a campaign by an NGO which is offering cash prizes to youths who submit the best slogan as a way to get them to register as voters.

“We want to encourage voters to register on their own without having to be paid or enter a competition; that is really quite pathetic if we were to do that,” Bersih 2.0 chief Maria Chin Abdullah said, referring to the campaign by Invoke.
