NIBONG TEBAL: The state government has been taken to task for failing to act against rampant quarrying works in Batu Kawan which have affected the health of some 20,000 residents nearby.

Federal Village Security and Development Committee chairman Abdul Halim Othman said the residents had to face blasting activities and pollution since the Batu Musang quarry started operating more than 10 years ago.
