MALACCA: A 45-year-old masseur has been detained following the report lodged by German woman over a "tongue therapy" offer.

Malacca CID chief Senior Asst Com Kamaluddin Kassim said the local man has been detained and is expected to be charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code for using criminal force with the intent to outrage modesty.

“The man was detained on the same day the report was lodged and is expected to charged soon,” he said Thursday.

It is learnt that the man works as a part-time masseur at the parlour offering traditional massage here.

On Wednesday, The Star reported that the German woman lodged a police report against a masseur for offering "tongue" service during a massage session.

The 26-year-old tourist felt uneasy when the masseur stuck out his tongue and asked whether she was interested in an "additional service" that was not part of the massage package.

The woman and a friend had gone to an outlet in Banda Hilir here at 8pm on Monday.

She opted for a 70-minute traditional Chinese massage while her friend was served by a masseuse.

The tourist alleged that she was clad only in her panties when the masseur offered the “tongue” treatment.

She also claimed the masseur took off the towel she wore before offering the additional service.
