Remand request rejected for duo over postings on Haron Din's death


Dr Haron Din passed away due to heart complications at a hospital in the United States on Friday.

JOHOR BARU: The magistrate’s court here has rejected the remand request by the police against two men for allegedly insulting Islam in relation to the death of PAS spiritual leader Datuk Dr Haron Din on social media.  

Magistrate Noor Aisyah Ahmad made the decision under Section 177 of the Criminal Procedure Code and ordered the police to free the two suspects immediately.
