SALMAN and his wife excitedly set off for his mother’s house on the eve of Hari Raya after two years of not doing the balik kampung trip. But their plans go awry when their car breaks down, forcing them to travel in Salman’s rundown VW Beetle, which lands them in various comical situations.
The Hari Raya special RTM1 telemovie Dengan Beetle Kami Beraya, it must be said, is quite entertaining. Sadly, the whole plot is based on the premise that Salman is stuck with his old car as all the Malay mechanics are away for Hari Raya.
