PUTRAJAYA: Religious experts are urging the Education Ministry to ban salafiyah (fundamental ideologist) books and publications, especially by controversial Turkish ulama Ibnu Taimiyyah, that promote extreme ideologies.
At the Malaysians Against Extremism and Islamic State Ideology press conference yesterday, former Federal Territory mufti Datuk Wan Zahidi Wan Teh said extreme ideologies, including those of the Islamic State, had no place in the country.
