GEORGE TOWN: A freak storm which caused huge waves at the tourist belt of Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi saw a 12m-long tugboat swept to the shore.
The tugboat named GMS Fortuna 6 was believed to have run aground on the beach near the Hard Rock Hotel in Batu Ferringhi on Friday night after the storm.
