ALOR SETAR: A mechanic who is allegedly suffering from mental illness will know his fate in September on a charge of injuring his three-year-old daughter when he tried to slit her throat.

At the second mention of the case in the Sessions Court yesterday, deputy public prosecutor Rehab Abdul Shukur applied for a new date for the handover of documents on a psychiatric assessment of Muhammad Shafiq Sabudin, 29.
