Exec denies graft charges

GEORGE TOWN: A government de­­partment director pleaded not guilty to a corruption charge at the Sessions Court here for approving a tender to supply lab coats amounting to more than RM26,000 and an alternative charge of receiving a bribery of RM24,656 from a contractor.

Bumiputra Planning and Imple­mentation Unit Penang director Mohd Nor Rejab (pic) was alleged to have committed both offences in his previous job as Penang Educa­tion Department head of management and development services.
