PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has so far found only one type of ceramic kitchenware in the market that has exceeded the permissible lead leaching limit, says its director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (pic).
He said the X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry technique, used by the Malaysian Association of Standards Users and Greenfinite Sdn Bhd to test the levels of high metals and chemical elements in ceramic kitchenware, differed from the method of analysis used by the ministry.
