Students’ good deed goes viral


Four students of Foon Yew High School in Johor Baru were surprised when they found out that they were captured in video for helping an octogenarian crossing a busy road.China Press reported that the kind gesture of the four Form Five students - Qiu Hui Hui, Le Pei Qing, Ji Xin and Chen Rong Xun also being highly commended by the school and the public, after the 30-second video was uploaded to the social media.The incident happened at around 4pm on Friday at about 1km away from Foon Yew High School,During an interview, Ji said he was going for basketball game with Chen when they saw the 80-year-old man with a walking stick wanted to cross the road.“The road was busy but no car wanted to stop for the old man.“When we approached the old man, two other female schoolmates, whom we did not know them before this incident, also came over to offer help.“Chen went to the road to stop the moving vehicles, while three of us held the old man until he successfully crossed the road,” he said.Four of them also said th
