KUALA LUMPUR: The date for sighting of the Syawal new moon to determine Hari Raya Aidilfitri has been set for July 4.
A statement from the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal’s office said the Conference of Rulers has agreed that the date of the celebration will be based on sighting the moon and on astronomical calculations.
