KUALA LUMPUR: Around 113 metric tonnes of contraband fireworks have been seized since January by the Customs Department as it tightens Malaysian borders for the Hari Raya season.
Its director-general Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad said the huge seizure, worth about RM4mil in unpaid duty, was worrying.
