PETALING JAYA: Small and medium enterprises are being guided to adhere to the new international maritime regulation that requires shippers to verify the gross mass of a container carrying cargo, said the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM).
Its logistics and transport committee deputy chairman Kenneth Tiong said the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (Solas) regulation would come into effect worldwide on July 1.
