Malacca CM: State to introduce brief amnesty period for those with fake titles


MALACCA: Probes are underway to expose dignitaries conferred illegitimate honorary titles by bogus Sultans and the like reveals Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron (pic).

Idris said punitive action could be initiated against these dignitaries following the enforcement of Insignia and Prevention of Misusing Unauthorised Names Enactment 1981 (amendment 2016) during the state legislative meeting on Monday.
