SEKINCHAN: The Government has agreed to install the Automatic Identification System (AIS) for fishing vessels operating in Zone B – those operating five nautical miles or more from the coast – benefiting a total of 2,630 fishermen.
The system will provide basic tracking, location, speed and border crossing capabilities developed by the Malaysian Fisheries Department.
