Kuala Kangsar polls: Mastura forgives Nizar for 'divine retribution' remark

KUALA KANGSAR: Barisan Nasional candidate Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid (pic) has forgiven former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin for his remarks that the Kuala Kangsar by-election was divine retribution for Barisan Nasional’s toppling of the Opposition-led Perak government in 2009.

“As a normal human being, just like you all, those words hurt me and my family but I forgive Datuk Seri Nizar because I believe Allah will show the truth to us,” she told reporters at her in-laws residence in Bukit Chandan on Thursday.
