PADANG RENGAS: In a bid to quell the tension over PAS’ Private Member’s Bill on Syariah court amendments, Umno will hold a briefing for Barisan Nasional component party leaders next week.
Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the briefing would be held at the Barisan headquarters in Kuala Lumpur at 11am on Wednesday, to be attended by three representatives from each party. He said academicians, constitutional lawyers and the ulamak would be present to explain the Bill.
