SUNGAI BESAR: Politics appeared to have taken a backseat as politicians across the divide mingled with each other during nomination day for the Sungai Besar by-election on Sunday. 

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and several other Barisan Nasional leaders sat at the same breakfast table with PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and PAS election director Datuk Mustafa Ali, attracting the attention of the media.
