Plantation workers jailed over agarwood posession

KOTA TINGGI: Three Indonesian oil palm plantation workers will serve jail time after they failed to pay fines totalling RM16,500 each for illegally possessing agarwood and entering a forest reserve without a permit.

Gomgom Manurung, 33, Laurensius Molo, 31, and Hassan, 43, were fined RM15,000 each in default 15 months’ jail, for having agarwood at the Mersing Forest Reserve on May 22.
