Voter’s acquittal for election offence overturned


KUANTAN: The High Court has overturned the acquittal of a voter for taking his ballot paper out of a polling station after coming to vote for the second time in the last gene­ral election.

Judicial Commissioner Tuan Hassan Abdul Ghani ruled that the magistrate’s court had erred in ac­­­quitting Mohd Fadhli Khaharrud­din, 26, in December last year.
