GEORGE TOWN: A High Court here has fixed Nov 14 and 15 for the hearing of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s defamation suit against New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd (NSTP) over a Berita Harian article on Aug 20 last year. Justice Datuk Rosilah Yop fixed the date yesterday.
In his statement of claim, Lim said the article printed by NSTP-owned Berita Harian stated that he had unconditionally retracted a defamation suit he filed against former Bagan Umno chief Datuk Dr Shaik Hussein Mydin, giving the connotation that he did not have the courage to pursue the case.
