KUALA LUMPUR: Nearly 700 people drown in Malaysia every year, and most involve children and teenagers during school holidays, said the Water Activity Safety Council (WASC).
Water safety awareness among children and their parents would go a long way in preventing tragedies, said council member Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.
