Navy: We did not sink Philippine fishing boat

PETALING JAYA: The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) has dismissed allegations by the Phillippine media that it had sunk a small fishing vessel which intruded into Malaysian waters.

Navy chief Laksamana Datuk Seri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin said an inspection was carried out by the crew of the KD Laksamana Tun Abdul Jamil (KD LTAJ) following the intrusion of a main vessel and a smaller boat into the Malaysian Exclusive Economic Zone near the Semarang Peninjau Cluster off Sabah waters on May 9.
