KUALA LUMPUR: The preparations on the eve of Wesak Day were extensive but the focus was on quiet reflection rather than carnival-like festivity at the 121-year-old Buddhist Maha Vihara temple in Brickfields.
Volunteers could be seen erecting booths, putting the finishing touches on the float and preparing oil lamps for today’s commemoration of the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Buddha.
