KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia-Indonesia bilateral ties enter a new chapter Thursday when 1,500 Malaysian and Indonesian university alumni gather for a conference to discuss ways to mitigate the ills of globalisation.
Two policy papers will be taking centre stage at the one-day conference, one of which deals with the threat posed by globalisation while the second paper focuses on how the Malaysia-Indonesia alumni can combine efforts to develop the Islamic economy and make it the thrust of the national economy.
