Longhouse near Miri razed in early morning fire


MIRI: Over 100 residents of the 18-door Champing Longhouse in Batu 20, Jalan Bintulu-Miri, are now homeless after it was razed in an early morning fire Sunday.

Officer-in-charge of the Bintulu fire and rescue station DiHata Gobel said they received a distress call at 1.34am and arrived at the scene, which is 32km away from the fire station, at 2.10am.
