Taxi drivers against Uber riding on its lawsuit against SPAD


Being realistic: Uber said technology helps safety efforts but stresses that no means of transportation is 100% safe.

KUALA LUMPUR: An objection has been raised against Uber's bid to be a party in a lawsuit against the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).

In December last year, some 102 taxi drivers sued SPAD for allegedly being negligent when it did not take proactive action to ban operations of ride-sharing services such as Uber, Grabcar and Blacklane, which they claimed were affecting their livelihood.
