PETALING JAYA: The crime index is on the downward trend but not public fear which is still relatively high, says Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye (pic).
The Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) vice-chairman said public fear of crime had increased from 70% last year to 80% now, which was largely attributed to two types of crime, namely snatch theft and break-ins.
