PETALING JAYA: Netizens take to social media to offer their condolences on the passing of Samantha Schubert and reminisce on her varied works.
On Monday, Schubert passed away following a brief but hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer, just two days after she had turned 47.
Michael Lee recalled working with Schubert in a commercial product advertisement, where she provided the voice over.
"She came in a cast over her leg. She could have just postponed the recording but she did not.
"That's very professional of her. During the recording she was the one asking for retake or was upset with her own "mistakes" which I think is already good enough.
"It seems that good enough is not good enough to her. What a professional! Rest in peace,” said Lee on Facebook.
Leonard Chua commented that Schubert was “the most beautiful Ms. Malaysia we have ever had”.
“Not just on the outside but on the inside as well. We will miss you,” his Facebook post read.
Another Facebook user, Pamela Budhrani Lamb, said she had enjoyed watching Schubert’s television advertisements and movies.
Schubert was admitted to Prince Court Medical Centre on March 11 following complications from her illness and had been under care there since.
The former Miss Malaysia-World 1991 was diagnosed with the disease in August 2015 after returning to Malaysia from England.
Schubert was a successful model before starring in films such as Red Scorpion 2 (1994), Amok (1997), and The Red Kebaya (2006).
