GEORGE TOWN: Ninety hectares on the Penang Hill range, equivalent to 112 Fifa World Cup football fields, are estimated to have been illegally deforested or infringed upon.

Some of these tracts in Relau and Paya Terubong are privately owned, while others are unlawful encroachments of forest reserves.
