Residents want abandoned blocks demolished

KUALA LUMPUR: Residents of Taman Hillview and Taman Sri Ukay want the two abandoned Highland Towers blocks to be demo­lished as they have become hideouts for robbers and drug addicts.

Taman Sri Ukay Hillview Resi­dents Association president Datuk Siti Hendon Chik, who represents more than 1,000 residents in the two housing estates, said they were unanimous in seeking the demolition of the two remaining -blocks after one collapsed 23 years ago.
