PETALING JAYA: The Energy Commission has advised the public to only use genuine chargers when charging their smartphones, following a recent incident where a woman was electrocuted when using her phone while charging.
The commission said based on initial investigations, the charger used by the woman had malfunctioned and caught fire because it was not a genuine product issued by the smartphone manufacturer.
