KUALA LUMPUR: The standard operating procedures (SOP) for security management of all national strategic assets should be reviewed due to the rising threats of terrorism in the country, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said strategic assets – a term used for important Government-owned facilities – should be reviewed and scrutinised as many of the current assets, including power plants and television stations, belonged to the private sector.
