Marine police rescue man who fell off Penang Bridge

GEORGE TOWN: A 21-year-old man who fell from the Penang bridge in the wee hours of Wednesday morning survived the fall and was rescued by a marine police patrol boat.

Marine Police Region 1 chief Asst Comm Marzuki Che Shuib said the police were conducting Ops Gelora at about 5.05am when they received a distress call from the Batu Uban marine police headquarters that a man had fallen from KM1.8 of the island-bound direction of the bridge.
