Education Ministry: Schools in Perlis, Jerantut and Temerloh districts in Pahang to close Monday

PETALING JAYA: Schools in Perlis, as well as the Jerantut and Temerloh districts in Pahang will be closed Monday as temperatures in those areas have exceeded 37°C over a 72-hour period, says the Education Ministry.

In a statement, the ministry said that the closure was a precautionary measure to safeguard the health of the over 100,000 pre-school, primary and secondary pupils in the affected areas.
