Road collapse isolates Penans from outside world

You shall not pass: No vehicles can cross the wrecked road which is the only route in and out.

MIRI: Some 2,000 Penans living in the deepest jungles of Belaga district in central Sarawak are cut off from the outside world following the collapse of a timber road, their only link to the outside world.

Human rights lawyer Abun Sui pointed this out to The Star after he visited the collapsed road yesterday, about a six-hour drive from the nearest bazaar of Sungai Asap, 200km from Bintulu town.
