Dr M: I wanted to quit Petronas long before my sacking

- Reuters

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pix) claims he had put in his resignation from Petronas long before the Cabinet unanimously agreed to remove him as the company's advisor.

"Actually, I had resigned from Petronas quite some time ago. But Petronas refused to accept my resignation or the allowance which I sent back," said the former prime minister, adding that the company continued to deposit the allowance into his bank account.
