‘No reduction in registration fee under rehiring programme’

PUTRAJAYA: There will be no reduction in the RM800 registration fee imposed on employers under the rehiring programme for illegal foreign workers, says Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

“I believe the rate is a fair trade-off. We have to look into factors like the cost of detaining and deporting foreigners when their work passes expire later on,” he said.
