Some firearms recovered by Malaysian security forces at Kampung Tanduo in 2013.

KOTA KINABALU: Former self-styled Sulu sultan Esmail Kiram's son said he did not know in advance about the armed intrusion of Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu led by his uncle Agbimuddin Kiram.

Datu Amir Bahar Hushin Kiram told the High Court here on Wednesday that the only reason he came to Semporna six months before the February 2013 intrusion was to await for his father, who was supposed to go to Kuala Lumpur.
