State wants action on enquiry’s findings


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government has given relevant parties until March 1 to act on the recommendations of the Commission of Enquiry over the ramp collapse at the Batu Maung interchange and the Menara Umno finwall crash in Macalister Road.

State Housing, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo, who leads the sub-committee to ensure the recommendations were carried out, said a letter was sent to the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the local authorities the state secretary’s office and state police chief in relation to the incidents.
