Knowledge of IS essential for new recruits

MALACCA: Besides current affairs, knowledge of the threat posed by Islamic State (IS) will be among the compulsory attributes and training required when the police force fills some 9,000 vacancies this year.

Bukit Aman Management director Comm Datuk Pahlawan Zulkifli Abd­ul­lah said syllabi at police training centres were being revised to incorporate the latest devel­op­­ments taking shape within the country and abroad to equip new cops with crucial knowledge.
