MIRI: Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem has extended the olive branch to Chinese voters in the state - many of whom voted against Barisan Nasional in previous elections - urging them to return to the side of the ruling coalition and to work with him in developing the state.
Speaking to a 3,000-strong multiracial crowd at a grand Chinese New Year gathering here organised by Sarawak United People's Party's (SUPP) Miri division on Friday night, Adenan said he needed the full backing of the Chinese in order to form a solid and cohesive state government that could govern Sarawak well.
