KUALA LUMPUR: Bus accidents are causing insurance companies to lose about RM200mil a year and the situation has led the Malaysian Motor Insurance Pool (MMIP) to come up with its telematics device scheme, an industry source said.
The source told The Star that accident claims by mostly express and stage bus companies were far exceeding the premiums they bought.
