GEORGE TOWN: The marine police arrested six Indonesians for violating the Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (Maqis) Act 2011, and seized an assortment of goods together with their barter vessel worth a total of RM1.3mil.

Marine Police Region 1 deputy commander Supt Dimin Awang said a patrol boat team led by ASP Rohizan Mohd Saaid boarded the vessel, which was about 0.5 nautical miles from Weld Quay at 3pm on Wednesday following a tip-off.
