Homemade pipe bomb used to blast ATM machine

ALOR SETAR : Robbers used a homemade pipe bomb to blast an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and escaped with more than RM200,000 cash from a local bank located along Lebuhraya Sultan Abdul Halim near Simpang Kuala here.

In the incident which occurred at about 3.15am, a group of robbers blasted the ATM  machine using an explosive device believed to be a homemade 'pipe bomb'.
