One of the victims being taken down a staircase at the clinic to be sent to the hospital
PETALING JAYA: Two men had their arms broken and were repeatedly slashed in a bloody incident in Taman Samudra in Batu Caves on Wednesday morning.
The men, aged 23 and 33, with blood gushing from their bodies, managed to run to a clinic which later called emergency responders at about 3.30am.
Their injuries, so severe that bones could be seen protruding from the wounds, are said to be “grievous” with the 33-year-old still unconscious in Selayang Hospital's intensive care unit (ICU). His other friend is being treated in the emergency ward.
Police are still unable to establish a motive, saying that the 23-year-old victim was telling them an “unbelievable story”.
The man had claimed that he and his friend had gone to the shoplot in the wee hours of the morning because they were invited there to collect some form of salary.
It was there that they were ambushed by about six men, one of whom was reportedly wielding a samurai sword, who slashed them several times in the arms.
“We have identified six suspects. But we don’t know what is the motive of the attack. We have to wait until we get a full statement from the victims,” said Gombak OCPD Asst Com Ali Ahmad.
