BEIJING: Drawing reference from his own experience, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) has advised outgoing Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir to be istiqamah (consistent) with Umno’s principles.
The Deputy Prime Minister said he faced a similar situation in 1998, but was re-elected as MP and then appointed deputy tourism minister after the 2004 general election.
